Regina SLAC is YOUR new Student Legal Advocacy Centre!
URSU is proud to announce that we have launched a new legal service for all students at the University of Regina, the Regina Student Legal Advocacy Centre (SLAC). SLAC provides many free legal services for the campus community, including direct one-on-one legal support for students regarding work issues, immigration and permit issues, and academic advocacy while providing legal advice and support for student organizations.
Legal issues that you can receive support with with include:
- Dealing with employers, landlords, leases, traffic bylaws, family law, etc.
- International students’ issues related to immigration, such as support for renewing study permits, the pathway to permanent residency, etc.
- Academic advising or helping students facing disciplinary issues related to academic misconduct allegations
- Any other legal matter within the scope of legal information
